I hope your roommate’s girlfriend is alright. If you have health insurance through UCR, click here to view which local emergency room and urgent care facilities are covered. Otherwise, the closest hospital is Riverside Community Hospital, which is 3 miles away on Market St.

Can I take a class to learn a new language? I know that you have to be eligible to take a language placement test for a lang. class you must have taken previous courses in high school or speak it at home, but I do neither (which means I’m not eligible). I would like to take a French class just to learn a new language but I don’t know if I’m eligible/allowed to take a course.

In theory, yes, but I’d chat with your adviser to see if you can use it to fill any major requirements. Or, you can even declare a minor in that language. SO MANY CHOICES
